APSA 2023

Emerging from Crisis into Complexity

27-30 November, University of Sydney

The 2023 Australian Political Studies (APSA) Conference was hosted in-person at the University of Sydney Camperdown campus from 27-30 November. The Conference commenced with a HDR Workshop* on Monday 27th November, and the main Conference ran from Tuesday 28th to Thursday 30th November.

The theme for the Conference was Emerging from Crisis into Complexity. This acknowledges the multiplicity of complex problems and opportunities that confront our communities, policy institutions and political systems at the local, state and federal level. We continue to adapt to the impacts of COVID-19, climate change, shifts in national and global politics, and an ever-evolving political economy.

The APSA 2023 Conference formed part of the Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences, which featured 19 participating Associations, and 2,000 participants at the University of Sydney.

I was fortunate to have an abstract accepted by the conference organisers and thank them, the community and sponsors.
